I am TunaKoi. I think, I take photos and I write about what I think and what I see.

Yeah that’s me. My real name is Khoi Doan, or Đoàn Tuấn Khôi in Vietnamese. I tell everyone and everything my stories, ideas and thoughts about pretty much everything from micro to macro level. I don’t tell my stories for free. A story for a story.

Here are some not-so-random facts about me:

• My favourite band is literally called Wild Salmon in English (Cá Hồi Hoang).
• Despite the name TunaKoi and my love for Wild Salmon, I dislike everything about the sea: ocean, beaches, fish, seafood, all the things that swim and breathe undersea.
• But I cannot say no for sushi (this sounds like “I am a vegetarian but I have occasional steaks”).
• Red wine and whiskey.
• American Spirit.
• Damien Rice, Radiohead, Haruki Murakami.
• Cat person.
• The name “Koi” came from a mistake from my previous university in Belgium. They wrote my name as “Thuan Koi” and I thought it was cool.
• I’m in doubt when I want to talk about what I like doing because I’m not actually good at them but here goes: photography, writing, spirituality, being sarcastic, taking my life seriously and every other thing my audience like, because a story for a story.
• Greatest achievement: I have people following my Spotify playlists without letting anyone know about their existences..
